Privacy policy.

1. Data controller

Aron Knutsen, Klepp Stasjon, Rogaland, Norway, is the data controller for personal data processed via aronknutsen.com. The fastest way to reach me is Telegram: t.me/aronknutsen.

2. What data I process

• Visitor data (server logs): The site is hosted on Netlify, which automatically stores standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, browser type, page visited) for operational and security purposes. I have not installed my own analytics or tracking (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.) on the site.
• Country code: When you visit the homepage, your country is checked in real time so the right language version can be shown automatically. This happens at Netlify's edge and is not stored by me.
• Language choice: If you click NO/EN yourself, that choice is stored in a cookie (ak_lang) in your browser for up to one year. See the cookie policy for details.
• Contact via Telegram/Instagram/TikTok/Snapchat/YouTube: If you message me on one of these platforms, that conversation is handled within that platform's own service, under its own privacy terms. I do not keep a separate database of those messages beyond what already lives in the app itself.
• Broker account (VT Markets, PU Prime, etc.): If you open an account via a link/code from me, the broker registers its own data about you (identity, contact details, financial information for KYC/AML purposes) directly with itself — its own privacy policy applies to that processing. I only receive information about trading volume/rebate tied to your account, not your KYC data.

3. Purpose and legal basis

The data above is processed to operate and secure the site, show content in the right language, and administer the rebate arrangement with the brokers. The legal basis is legitimate interest (operation and security) and, for the cookie that remembers your language choice, that it is necessary for the function you actively request.

4. Retention

Server logs at Netlify are deleted according to their standard routines (usually a short period). The language-choice cookie lasts up to one year, or until you delete it yourself in your browser.

5. Who the data is shared with

Netlify (hosting), and — only trading volume for rebate purposes, not personal data beyond what the broker itself collects — the broker platforms I work with. Data is never sold on to third parties for marketing.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete personal data I process about you, and the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no). Reach out on Telegram if you want to use any of these rights.
